Salsa & Bachata Instructor
Macy grew up dancing from the moment she could point her toes, training in ballet for over 15 years and expanding her repertoire to include jazz, contemporary, modern, tap, African, and hip-hop. In her late teens, she trained with renowned companies such as the Joffrey Ballet, the Atlanta Ballet, and Pilobolus, bringing a foundation of technique and artistry to every step.
After recently discovering Latin dance, Macy found a new rhythm that felt like home. She fell in love with the music, energy, and joy of salsa, and has continued to grow by training with world-class dancers across the US and in Cuba. Along the way, she discovered a beautifully diverse and supportive community at Salsa Mundial, one that celebrates connection, expression, and the joy of learning together. In addition to salsa, Macy enjoys dancing Brazilian Zouk, Urban Kiz, and Kizomba. In 2024, she officially joined the Salsa Mundial team as an instructor.
Outside the studio, Macy is a lifelong educator with a career in K–12 and higher education. She also loves to travel and learn new languages. Macy brings her passion for teaching into every class, creating an inclusive and engaging learning experience for dancers of all backgrounds. Whether she’s leading or following, she believes in making movement fun, approachable, and empowering.
